Ranch Foreman + General Manager
Baumann grew up on Texana Ranch and now runs the day-to-day operations, ensuring everything—from animal management to booking hunts—runs smoothly. His passion lies in raising and growing animals, a process many overlook but one he finds deeply rewarding. No two days are the same, but his priority is always the health and well-being of the livestock. Some of his best memories are tied to the ranch, from childhood adventures to marrying his wife and being baptized in the front tank. To Baumann, Texana Ranch isn’t just a job—it’s home.

Ranch Hand, Guide + Cook
At Texana Ranch, every day is different, and that’s what makes it special. As a full-time ranch hand, guide, and cook, I spend my days tending to animals, filling feeders, checking water, and handling hay. When I’m not guiding hunts, I’m in the kitchen, making sure our hunters are well-fed after a long day in the field.
Beyond the daily chores, I also take on fabrication projects—building pens, fixing equipment, and even working on an exotic trap. One of my most memorable experiences here has been building pens with Jordan, a reminder that this ranch isn’t just a workplace—it’s a family.
Hardworking, funny, and positive, I take pride in every aspect of ranch life. There’s always something new to learn, and that’s what makes Texana Ranch the place I love to be.

Hunting Guide
Bringing experience from guiding on other ranches, Jared was honored to join the Texana Ranch team when his close friend, Ranch Manager Jordan Baumann, invited him on board. He values the deep bonds formed between guides and hunters and is constantly in awe of Texana’s breathtaking scenery. His days revolve around ensuring hunters have an unforgettable experience while tackling any ranch tasks that need attention. One of his most cherished memories is witnessing his friend Jordan marry his wife at the ranch. To him, Texana is more than just a place to work—it’s the best place on earth, where people come as friends and leave as family.
